Political and Incorrect: The Real India, Warts and All By Tavleen Singh >> Book review

Non-Fiction, Politics, History

The Book
The book is a collection of various articles that Tavleen Singh has written as a columnist for various leading newspapers and magazines.

They deal mainly with political and social issues and as the name suggests the author has freely expressed her opinion on various issues and people. The focus throughout remains on the leading political leaders of the era, Rajiv Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi to name a few.

Yellow - the articles are serious deliberations about the events covered. The knowledge of the author and acute political sense comes to the fore. Though, at times she moves from simply being opinionated to being biased in her analysis.

Overall, the book is a good read for those who would like to get a feel of the social and political environment in the two decades starting 1987.
